"Local issues are federal issues — and I’ll take them straight to Parliament, not to a party room."
Sturt is my community. I’ve lived and raised my family here, and I’ve worked with Sturt residents my whole career. I know the local issues you care about because I care about them too — and I won’t let them get buried in party room politics.
Local priorities I’ll fight for
- Build the Greater Adelaide Freight Bypass — no more delays, let’s just get it done. I won't let it slip off the party priority list.
- Review the proposed new Glenside Development and listen to the community- no 20 storey buildings.
- Work with the SA Government and local community regarding the Magill Uni campus redevelopment plan to achieve a balanced outcome.
- Increase onsite parking at Paradise Interchange.
- Seek Federal funding to rebuild the O-Bahn as it is nearing the end of its lifespan.
- Seek Federal funding to fix the traffic issues on Fosters Road, including putting traffic lights at the corner of North East Road and Fosters Road.
- Seek Federal funding to fix the traffic jams and gridlock on Sudholz Rd.
- Prepare for bushfire risk across the eastern border of Sturt with resilience planning and funding.
- Lobby for the preservation of Pete’s Park (formerly a BoM site) as public green space.
- Protect our natural spaces and local parks from overdevelopment.
- Balance development with heritage and green space — we can have both.
- Upgrade local sporting and leisure facilities so every family has access to safe, quality recreation spaces.
I’ll bring your issues to Canberra — not wait for party leaders to give me permission to speak. Parties are weighted towards the Eastern States. I’m there for the residents of Sturt.
